Sveiki! Sveiki! Sveiki!

I hope everyone's week was great! This week was so crazy and felt like five weeks crammed into one haha.

Monday night we were out contacting and one of our potentials called us and told us he was in a park and was wondering if we could meet him there for a meeting. So we started our lesson at like 8:15 and still made it home by 9 haha but it was such a cool thing that he just called us.

Tuesday we visited a member who has been in a coma and is starting to walk again so we got to go help her which was super sweet. She is so cool! We also had a lesson with Beate and it was super great!! I love her and I am so happy to be working with her again! We were also contacting that day and I go to stop this guy and he was like sorry I only speak English and we are going to introduce who we are and he's like oh you're the Mormons! I've been waiting to meet some of you. He didn't have a lot of time so he just gave us his number and told us to call him. And we did and met with him the next day and it was honestly one of the best lessons ever. He was so interested and had so many amazing questions. We asked him to be baptized and he said yes! He's Russian though so the Russian elders will teach him but he is the coolest!! It was such a miracle to meet him. We had been praying lots to find someone prepared to hear the gospel and God led us to him!

I also got to go on an exchange with Sister Cain this week yay! It was super fun. We also got to go to the soup kitchen this week and this old man that usually comes always calls me "tootsy" and this time he brought me flowers haha so awkward.

We also did something new this week, basketball contacting! That was super fun.

We also had a lesson with Dace which was super good and I just love her so much. She's amazing. Then we had a lesson with Inara yesterday! I love her death. She wants to get baptized and follow God. She knows she needs Him and that all is possible with Him. I love her so much, she's so great.

Our little trio has seen so many amazing things and I couldn't be more grateful for what the Lord is doing for the people here!

This week was honestly full of so many miracles. This is the Lord's work and I am so grateful to be a missionary. This is the true gospel and it is for everyone! Something that I have really felt and began to understand more while being here is that Jesus Christ performed His Atonement for each of us because He loves us and wants us to return to Him and be able have His help while on this  life. And I just love that. It's literally a miracle. I love this gospel and Jesus Christ.

Have a great week and thank you for everything! I love you all!

Love,
Masa Brunere

Trio part 2!

Sveiki! Sveiki! Sveiki!

I hope everyone's week was great! This week was super good! The highlight is I am now in a trio. I'm still with Māsa Lūisa and now Māsa Sedživa! It's been super fun being with them. We have so much fun and work great together.

Last P-day we went to Mežaparks and all rode bikes together and had a picnic on the beach which was super fun.

Wednesday was a crazy day haha. We were running around trying to get everything done and we got to meet with Zina yay! She's my favorite. Then we got Māsa Sedživa and headed to a lesson and we get on this bus and the elders were on the same bus so we start talking and as we were talking about the lesson we were going to and we were like what time is yours at and they said 6 and we said no way us too! What's his name? Andris, no way us too... and you'll never guess what the same address as well! Haha we were going to
the same lesson so that was super funny haha.

Thursday we were talking to a lady on the street and Māsa Lūisa said we serve other people but the lady didn't hear the serve part and so it was like saying we hit other people and the lady died laughing hahahaha. So funny.

Friday we went to this house of a former investigator that the elders visited earlier and she said we could come back and have a lesson so we went  back and when we got there two of her kids were standing outside the building and really really nicely told us that if we tried to come they would call the police on us so that was exciting haha.
I got to go to primary again wahoo! It was such a blessing. Then we went to Māsa Helena's house and Saturday was her name day and she surprised us with all this food. Her helper made it all and we all got to sit and chat. But we were fed this meat paste and it was the grossest thing ever haha. I don't know how people like it but it's gross haha.

Daira decided not to meet with us anymore because she lives so far away and Sunday is her family day.. so sad.

But I get to work with Zane, Dace, and Beāte again! I'm so excited! They are some of my favorite people so it will be so great!

Anyways, being in a trio is great and it's been a great week! I hope you all have a great week!

Love,
Māsa Brūnere

The Week of Miracles

Sveiki! Sveiki! I hope everyone's week has been good!

This was a week full of miracles! I have an even stronger testimony now that this is the Lord's work and He directs it and helps me everyday!

We had a lesson with a less active member this week. She is so cool but has lots of questions haha. I love her though and finally meeting her was super great! We drop by notes every week but her house is literally a 5 mile hike up the stairs. Okay not really but it's a lot haha. She has such a strong testimony though and I am so excited to keep working with her!

One of the miracles this week was I was sitting on the tram and I look up and one of our potentials who has kind of disappeared was sitting there!! We were able to talk for a minute and be in contact with her again!

On Thursday we had a lesson with Daira our investigator. She said yes to being baptized on September 1 yay!! We are so excited for her! She has such a strong testimony and her faith is a miracle that she believes everything and is gaining a stronger testimony each time we talk to her.

Saturday we got to serve in the soup kitchen yay! It was so fun as always. This time I really saw the affects of how great the soup kitchen is and how important serving others is. We never truly know the affects of our service! Also, the weather has cold down a bit the last few days and there's been rain! It's been the best thing ever. I love the rain and not dying of heat haha.

Yesterday Māsa Lūisa and I got to teach Relief Society. We taught it based off of President Nelson's talk from this last general conference, "Revelation for the church, revelation for our lives." Such a good talk! Revelation is so important and we need to increase our capacity to receive just as President Nelson says. God wants to give us answers but we must first do our part. I encourage everyone to read it again :)

I love you all and hope you have a great week! Thank you for everythinig!

Love,

Snow Cones!

Sveiki!

I hope everyone's week was great! This week literally flew by. I feel like it was last pday just two days ago, it was a great week though!

Wednesday we had zone conference which was sooo good! We talked a lot about inviting investigators to be baptized the first lesson, then the next steps after that, how to answer their questions better, and how to protect them from the adversary! It was so good and I am so excited for this next transfer and to apply everything we were taught, good things are going to happen!

Thursday I got to go on an exchange with cute Sister Goodell and I just love her so much. I'm so grateful for her. We had so much fun and talked to some really cool people. We found one lady, who we saw twice in the same day! She took a Book of Mormon so hopefully she can meet with us soon! But the exchange was so fun and we were laughing all day long.

Okay so the coolest thing happened yesterday. We were at church just waiting for everyone to come and greeting everyone and this lady walks in and so we go talk to her and she just came to church! After Sacrament we met with her and she had investigated a few years ago but stopped, but now she knows that this is the right path and she wants to strengthen her relationship with God and feel Christ's help even more. She is so cool! She said yes to baptism and she said that she wants to choose a baptismal date next time! It was such a miracle. This week we had decided this week will be the week of miracles and Inara is such a miracle and I am so excited to keep meeting with her! We also got to go to primary today and translate and I got to translate into Latvian for one the little boys and it was so fun hahaha he is my best friend now haha but that was such a blessing to be in there! I love the primary and learning the primary songs in Latvian!

Last Monday our hot water turned off. So this entire week we have had freezing cold water because of a remonts. Even though it's super hot outside taking ice cold showers not fun haha. But it's back on now so it's all good :)

This week we had to say goodbye to the Barnes :( I love them so much and I'm so grateful for them and their examples and love! They are the best and I'll miss them! Masa Bergesone is also leaving this week which is super sad :( I'll miss her tons too! It has been sooooo good to have her here!

Okay GUESS WHAT! So I love snowcones so much. And last week (sorry if I already told you this haha) we found some!!!! So we went and got them! I can officially move to Latvija for the rest of my life (sorry Mom).

I hope everyone has a great week! I love you all! Paldies par visu!!

This week I was in the war chapters of Alma where it talks about how Moroni prepared the people physically but also spiritually for war because they all knew it was going to come. There was no if about it just when. The same is for us. Hard times and temptations will come and we need to start preparing now for them so we can overcome them! This is all done with reading the Book of Mormon daily, praying, attending church, and so on. By doing these things we strengthen our testimony and our relationship with God and will be better prepared. I'm so grateful for this amazing opportunity to share the gospel and help others come unto Christ and prepare through these things. I know they will bless your lives as well!

Love,
Masa Brunere
