One With Nature

Sveiki! Sveiki! Sveiki! I hope everyone's week was so great!

This week wasn't too exciting just the missionary normal. Last week for Pday we went to the botanical gardens and it was so fun, us missionaries just love the nature. Seeing all the flowers in bloom was super pretty though. Nature is our favorite thing here haha but really we just love the picture opportunities and we pretend to be nature loving hippies.

For FHE that night we went to the beach and had a picnic and played games on the sand. We got the kids who were playing around us to play ninja and missionary tag, it was lots of fun!

Last week whiteboard contacting I had met this girl, Elina, and we had a meeting with her this week! We met at loud coffee shop haha but we talked about the Book of Mormon and gave her a copy, she was really excited for it and she's super cute. I am exicted to meet with her more! She even asked us to meet again, it was so great.

I also got to go on another exchange this week with Sister Jessee. It was so fun and she is such a great missionary I learned so much from her. And for those of you who know about my quesadilla shop, it's totally hapepening because Sister Jessee is a genious and has so many great ideas for it. It's happening one day, y'all better be ready for it.

One of the best parts of this week is I saw one of my favorite people ever, MASA BERGESONE!!!!!! Masa Veila set up a district language and told all of us that a member was going to help us and then Masa Bergesone walked in! It was the most exciting thing ever and it's been so fun to see her and talk with her again.

I hope you all have a great week!
"Lift up your head and be of good cheer" 3 Nephi 1:13 Christ has overcome all for us. He loves and knows each one of us individually. Turn to Him and rely on Him. He will comfort you and help you! I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and the opportunity I have to be here in the most beautiful place while sharing His gospel and wearing His name on my chest.

Love,
Masa Brunere

Justin Bieber dies and we get broken up with

Sveiki! I hope everyone's week was so great!

Last p-day we went to the zoo! it was so fun! The animals didn't look like they were having fun though haha but at least we did!

Tuesday we had a lesson with Zane and she brought up things no one knew about and honestly we weren't the most prepared to answer those questions so we met with her again on Thursday with two  members and it was so great. We honestly didn't really say anything. The members helped with all her questions and concerns because they had the same ones when they were investigators. It's amazing how the Lord works because they weren't supposed to be in our lesson but we got them in it last minute. I'm so grateful for that! I was completely lost the whole time though because they talked faster than normal haha, but the spirit was so strong! Sandija was also finally able to meet again yay! We had a good lesson with her and she's just the cutest! The hardest part of this week was a text we got from Paula. She had been cancelling our lessons lately and on Wednesday she texted 10 minutes before our lesson and told us she wasn't ready to commit to God or religion. It was so heartbreaking because we had seen her faith grow so much. I feel at peace though because we taught her the best we could. She'll accept the gospel one day.

We also got a call this week saying Justin Bieber had died haha! We ended calling a less active and she cleared that rumor up for us haha. We have been trying to talk with her but it's hard to get her to respond but since it was about Justin Bieber she responded so fast so his fake death was a blessing to us haha.

This week we asked people how they find peace in their life. As I asked this question I thought a lot about how much peace the Book of Mormon brings into my life. I'm so grateful for the knowledge of it and that I receive peace and guidance from it everyday. I invite you all to try and read it and look for that peace in your life. I promise it will be there.

I love you all and have a great week!

Love,
Masa Brunere

Two Trainees and the streets of Riga

Sveiki! First, Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers! I hope your day was great!

This week was great because I got to skype my cute family!! It was sooo great to see all of them! I also finished my first transfer this week! It went by super fast too but half way through training yay!!

Another exciting thing this week is I got to go on exchanges with Sister Goodell (I was in the MTC wit her) so it was two trainees running around the streets of Riga together! It was such a fun day though and we never got lost so we're making progress haha! We got to teach Laine together and teach her about the Plan of Salvation. Teaching strengthened my testimony of the Plan of Salvation and I am so grateful for the knowledge of it and the perspective it gives me.

I also hit my 100 day mark as a missionary! I love being here! It's so pretty and green!

Sorry it's shorter this week, not too much happened, but have a great week! Love you all!

Alma 37:45
"And now I say, is there not a type in this thing? For just as surely as this director did bring our fathers; by following its course, to the promised land. shall the words of Christ, if we follow their course, carry us beyond this vale of sorrow into a far better land of promise."

If we read the Book of Mormon and follow the words in it we will be blessed! I'm so grateful for the Book of Mormon and the direction it gives me.

Laba Daba

Sveiki! Another week gone, so crazy! I hope everyone's week was great! It was a really good and fun week. There was a Latvian holiday this week though so it was harder to meet with people, but we still got a lot done.

Last Pday we went to the open air museum, which is about latvian houses in the 1700s. It was so fun and so pretty and just fun to learn more about Latvija and it was all outside and in nature! I love it here!

Wednesday we had zone conference. it was fun to meet everyone I haven't yet and to get closer to the other Latvian sisters. It was a great conference and I learned lots. We did area book calling during it and I was sooo terrifed haha. I called one person who hasn't answered in years and she answered and said we could meet the next day! Meeting with her was so good! her name is Laine and it'll be a little hard to teach her because of her beliefs, but I'm excited! Even though we couldn't meet with Zane and Paula this week they are still doing great. We also went to a baptism for Kaspars! The elders taught him and now his wife is interested and so we're going to try and meet with her! So pumped! There's also the sweetest old lady here in the branch, Masa Helena, and we visit her each week. I love her. She has so many songs memorized and she'll just start saying them. So cute.

It rained a lot this week too! We got soaked one night walking home but it was so fun haha. It was a harder day because we had our Thursday night activity and everyone fell through. But we got pizza and got to walk home in the rain. God send the rain for us and it showed me that God is there and he loves each one of us so much. We also got Mexican good for Cinco de Mayo, so good! I got a quesidailla and if you know me you know how much I love quesadillas. It was so good haha. Anyways, I love Latvija and I love being here. Have a great week!

Love,
Masa Brunere

This week I studied a lot about joy and the biggest thing I learned was the gospel and Jesus Christ bring everlasting and true joy. The gospel brings so much happiness. I am so grateful for it and so grateful that I get to share the joyful news here with the people of Latvija.
