Laba Daba

Sveiki! Another week gone, so crazy! I hope everyone's week was great! It was a really good and fun week. There was a Latvian holiday this week though so it was harder to meet with people, but we still got a lot done.

Last Pday we went to the open air museum, which is about latvian houses in the 1700s. It was so fun and so pretty and just fun to learn more about Latvija and it was all outside and in nature! I love it here!

Wednesday we had zone conference. it was fun to meet everyone I haven't yet and to get closer to the other Latvian sisters. It was a great conference and I learned lots. We did area book calling during it and I was sooo terrifed haha. I called one person who hasn't answered in years and she answered and said we could meet the next day! Meeting with her was so good! her name is Laine and it'll be a little hard to teach her because of her beliefs, but I'm excited! Even though we couldn't meet with Zane and Paula this week they are still doing great. We also went to a baptism for Kaspars! The elders taught him and now his wife is interested and so we're going to try and meet with her! So pumped! There's also the sweetest old lady here in the branch, Masa Helena, and we visit her each week. I love her. She has so many songs memorized and she'll just start saying them. So cute.

It rained a lot this week too! We got soaked one night walking home but it was so fun haha. It was a harder day because we had our Thursday night activity and everyone fell through. But we got pizza and got to walk home in the rain. God send the rain for us and it showed me that God is there and he loves each one of us so much. We also got Mexican good for Cinco de Mayo, so good! I got a quesidailla and if you know me you know how much I love quesadillas. It was so good haha. Anyways, I love Latvija and I love being here. Have a great week!

Love,
Masa Brunere

This week I studied a lot about joy and the biggest thing I learned was the gospel and Jesus Christ bring everlasting and true joy. The gospel brings so much happiness. I am so grateful for it and so grateful that I get to share the joyful news here with the people of Latvija.
