Rudens ir Klat

Sveiki! Sveiki!

I hope everyone's week was great!

This week was great and we saw many miracles!

First thing though. A new transfer this week! I will be moving to Augenskalns (Still in Riga) and I'll be serving with Māsa Teilore! I'm really excited for it! Neither of us know the area so it will be fun to figure it all out :)

Last Pday we got a letter from President saying that we now will speak our mission languages from 9 in the morning to 9 at night. And it has been the best ever! We've always spoke Latvian outside, but I have grown my language skills so much this week with always speaking. It's been amazing. We were promised if we do this we will better learn our language but also learn how to comfort people, laugh and tell jokes, and teach even better in Latvian. And I saw that this week. It was a huge testimony strengthener to me that God really does love us and love the people of Latvija!!

Wednesday we went knocking and it was just like the talk "Fourth Floor, Last Door" expect we start at the top of the building so first floor haha. But we had just knocked on the last door when the door before opened and walks out this super cute girl. We start talking to her and she is just so excited about the Book of Mormon and it was going so great. But then her mom came out and she started yelling at us in Russian haha. But we handed her an English night card and when the mom saw it she completely changed her attitude and now we have this super cute girl who is coming to English night, wants to learn about the Book of Mormon, and is going to bring her friends!! Miracle!!

Thursday another miracle day! We were supposed to have a few lessons but only one actually showed up so in a spare time we tried something new and just asked people outside the church if they wanted church tours and we found two new people from it!! One of them investigated a little bit ago and had a baptismal date but stopped investigating but he says he is ready know to learn and come unto Christ! I love missionary work!

Thursday I was just with Māsa Sedživa but we went and visited Māsa Helena in the hospital and that was a scary experience haha. European hospitals are not good and it was just a weird experience I will never forget haha. Māsa Helena may be in the hospital but she still talks and talks and talks like there is no end haha. I love her to death.

Today we got to church and there was a lady sitting there so we started talking to her and she talked to the missionaries on the streets and they told her to come so she did! While waiting she read the pamphlet about Joseph Smith AND SHE LOVED IT! She stayed all three hours, made friends and made comments, and we taught the Restoration and she already knows everything is true, she's going to read the Book of Mormon in two nights and so we extended a baptismal date to her and she's getting baptized October 6!! She just kept saying how she already knew what we had been talking about is true. She was saying how happy she was feeling and was just feeling the spirit so much. We are so excited for her!!

The weather this week was cooler. We needed sweaters a lot and it was cold haha. I think this next week will be warmer but winter is coming ahh!

I just love missionary work. This week I felt the love God has for these people here. They are so special! Just seeing everyone at church and how strong they are in their testimonies. I have a strong testimony people are prepared to hear and accept the gospel here. I saw it many times this week. Missionary work is the best!! I am so grateful for everything on my mission so far and for the experiences I've had, the lessons I've learned, and the person I've become! Missions are the best!

I love you all and thank you for everything!

Love,
Māsa Brūnere
